What does this meme mean?
Replace the discovery with a familiar truth about your hobby or routine. One character learns it while the other acts as though it was obvious from the start.
Where it comes from
The astronaut realization template developed through imageboard variations and Ohio-themed edits before its wider 2020 spread. The second astronaut's reply became the format's recurring punchline.

Make your own version
- Label the planet or discovery with the truth you want to reveal.
- Give the first astronaut a short surprised question about that discovery.
- Keep the second astronaut's reply brief and show both characters in the final frame.
